Biography
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diabeter. Diabeter is one of the leading examples of VBHC. Maarten was Vice President medical affairs and value based healthcare EMEA at Medtronic from 2016 until 2020.
Before that, Maarten Akkerman held the end responsibility for the procurement for Hospital Care, Primary Care and Mental Healthcare at Zilveren Kruis – the largest health insurance in The Netherlands.
Maarten graduated from the Program for Executive Development at IMD in Lausanne and INSEAD Fontainebleau
