Biography

Dorine de Vries is an Infectious Diseases specialist working in the departments of Internal Medicine and Medical Microbiology / Infectious Diseases at Erasmus MC. At the Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic, she mainly has patients with HIV in care. For many years she is also the medical coordinator of the Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic and is thus closely involved in all aspects of the quality of patient care provided. Over the past two years, she has followed and completed the NFU master’s degree in Quality and Safety in Patient Care. During the master she carried out a quality improvement project. She implemented working according to Value-Driven Care principles at the HIV outpatient clinic and evaluated this with semi-structured patient interviews.
