Biography
Erik van Raaij is Professor of Sustainable Procurement in Healthcare at Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management (ESHPM) and Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), both at Erasmus University (Rotterdam). His current research interests include Planetary Health, Healthcare Supply Management, Buyer-Supplier Relationships, Healthcare Contracting, and Empirical Research Methods. His work has been published in international academic journals such as Health Policy, European Journal of Health Economics, Organization Science, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, and Journal of Supply Chain Management.
Erik van Raaij teaches in various courses at the MSc, PhD and Executive level on topics such as Healthcare Procurement and Value Chain Management, Healthcare Supply Chain Management, and Empirical Research Methods, and has received several awards and commendations for teaching excellence.
Erik van Raaij is also Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. He is a member of the Erasmus Research Institute of Management, member of the Academy of Management, and of the Dutch Purchasing Association (Nevi). He is an engaged speaker on topics such as Circularity in Healthcare, Value-Based Healthcare, Purchasing Value, Trust and Opportunism in Buyer-Supplier Relationships, and Ethics and Integrity in Empirical Research.
